What is Fibrophos?

Fibrophos is a PK fertiliser of totally

organic origin consisting mainly

of phosphate and potash, with

sulphur, magnesium, calcium,

sodium and significant quantities

of essential trace elements required

by crops and grass.

Fibrophos is a unique compound

fertiliser. It is not a blend.

Where does Fibrophos

come from?

Fibrophos is derived from the

incineration of predominantly deep

litter poultry manure in excess of

850°C which is used as a fuel for

state of the art electricity power

stations. The first was built at

Eye in Suffolk in 1991 with others

commissioned soon after.

What does Fibrophos

fertiliser contain?

The resultant ash from the furnace

is pure fertiliser containing all the

plant nutrients (except nitrogen)

in similar proportions to those

present in cereal crops. Applied

to land as Fibrophos PK Fertiliser,

these nutrients are in turn taken

up from the soil by crops and

grass to ensure the nutrients

are replaced or recycled.

It is as a renewable nutrient

source that Fibrophos reduces

the use of scarce resources such

as mined mineral phosphates

and potassium.
